Bring charges against someone in the Philippines?
Hi I am trying to bring charges against someone in the Philippine's for scamming and theft. Up to now I have contacted the Minister of Justice and the Vice President with no response from either.
Can you help.

Whilst I don't know the circumstances, it is often the case that the person who is the victim of a scam has failed to take basic precautions. If that is the case then the idea of a successful prosecution would seem slight.
Not throwing good money after bad comes to mind.

What evidence can you show that you've been scammed? If its just a case that you fell in love with somebody and sent her money I can't see that you've got much of a case.

as for me, don't waste anymore money on your case as the justice system here is very poor

dont waste your time running after her. dont expect replies from the agencies you wrote too. unless you got connection, you'll be waiting for years to get a reply for that.
aside from the justice system here being poor, no one pointed a gun at you when you were scammed. you will need solid proof. that's the awful truth.
i suggest you join the DFA forums and post her pix and a warning. put in there all the aliases that she uses too. you can't get justice in one way but you can help others avoid that person.
ask the boss aka keith/win2win if you can do that here.Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end.
Whatever is meant to be will always find its way.

I'm completely against the idea of a "Scammers Page" - I don't think the Mods/Admin/Members here should be judge and jury declaring a girl to be a scammer or con artist - who is to say that she's not been unjustly or unfairly accused.
There are already sites (ie that Dragon Lady one) or Facebook addicts doing this.
Just my thoughts.................

Dedworth, I thought the suggestion of such a page was 'tongue in cheek' and not meant to be taken seriously.

Whether or not the comments are serious, this topic has been discussed before, including a poll of members (search "scammers" ).

I think one should be sensible about sending money to a total stranger. Even if you've been talking to them for years but it is not a guarantee.
Lesson learned here is important, running after the culprit is a total waste of time. Give some thought about yourself as it was in your full will when you sent monies.Life as we make it

well, we're not kids anymore and like i said:
"no one pointed a gun at you when you were scammed."
but it's also a good point that some ladies may just be unfairly accused. some scammers now use a picture and video of other girls. i think any girls here, including me, would be surprised if it's our face posted on that topic.
just be careful next time, okay?Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end.
Whatever is meant to be will always find its way.

probably this people who keeps doing it has a lot of extra money to waste...
in most cases the woman would ask money the guy will give then when the expectation doesn't meet then they would say they have been scammed...online relationship is indeed to risky, materially and emotionally...it wont give you any guarantee u'll end up happy just b'coz others does...be wary

the problem is, people tend to look at this site after bad experiences, then seem to stick around due to the quality advice and info it gives.....
AFter my first disaster online experience, I decided the next time i met someone who seemed to be right for me I made sure i visited a few weeks later. i just didnt want to waste months chatting to someone i didnt know. But ultimately i would reccommend anyone looking for a pinay gf to just forget about a holiday in spain etc, and go spend a few weeks in Phils and enjoy yourself, for sure you would get chatting to some lovely ladies in your time there and have a great holiday as well
