Yes I agree to James and Sillybilly reply, but to make it simple and easy to submit, just ordinary folder or brown envelop and the label in each category.. Goodluck

    Well done Leah,

As to flights, I used Emirates flying from Birmingham to Manila and back in April. I thought they were very efficient and no problems at all. Good price to. I had a three hour layover in Dubai which was OK as long as you found a comfortable place to rest.

    Hi leahnew,
thanks for the reply. anyway, I saw from the site about the explanatory notice to British Citizens contemplating a marriage to a citizen of the Philippines. One thing they point here "Deposit of Foreign Law Marriage certificates in the United Kingdom"
    1. The Foreign Marriage Order. 1970 makes provision for the tranmission of foreign marriage certificates of British Citizens (together with Certified translations into English, if necessary) to the Registrars-General in the England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, according to the part of UK to which the British party concerned belongs.

    2 points should be noted.

    a. the marriage will not be registered in the UK the foreign marriage cert. will simply be deposited for record purposes only

    b. there is no legal obligation to have foreign marriage recorded in UK but you may take advantage of the facility to do if you consider that it would serve useful purpose to have marriage recorded there.

Im just bothered bout this "translation' thing: that they mention..do you have guys any idea what suppose to mean? This was last revised 2010 June.
    Hope to hear any ideas...Thanks.

Hi Febmary…I think you don’t need to worry about the translation matter..coz the Marriage Certificate in the Philippines was written already in English.

..and about "Deposit of Foreign Law Marriage certificates in the United Kingdom" It was pointed there’s No Legal Obligation but it’s up to your British spouse if he want to register it for any useful purpose, well of course expect payment for that process
IMHO as long as your marriage here in the Philippines is LEGAL nothing to worry
