Appointment tues! finally we are applying spouse visa
Ok we finaly took the leap, have applied online and the wifes got the appointment tuesday, so we got , 6 months bank statements with substantial savings, a job offer but i am down as unemployed as i live in philippines for 4 years with missis, tenancy agreement for a house in uk with pictures , copy of land title in philippines, copy of deed of sale of our last house here, many copies of pictures of us together, lots of bills ie telephone cabole etc to us in philippines, copies of my residancy card for the philippnes, plus numerous other stuff to show we been here together and a advert of our house thats for sale here in the philippines, I am hoping its enough to get her the visa.
We applied then canceled the appointment then got a managers cheque, then made appoinment again, was going crazy as weather to apply or not but decided to take the chance, We also have our son who has a british and filipino passport so hopefully it will go in our favour, if not a appeal for sure with human right business involved.
anyway i just hoping all goes well and we are back in sunny uk for a very nice cold christmas!!!!!!!!
Thanks to all on this site you really do make a good differance, without your help especially joe bloggs! we would not have had a hope! thanks all

She submitted papers on Friday (or was it thursday), was processed already by the next wednesday. so we're looking at 3 working days or so.
It took longer waiting for the passport to arrive back than it did to actually have everything processed.
Yours ... like mine, should be easy, because of your situation.
Although, your savings would need to be pretty darn high if you're unemployed

hope so mate, but also bear in mind, this is peak season, so it could get longer ... eg, marlyn on this forum was waiting just over 6 weeks
also ...
if you put on the app the date when you wish for your wife to fly, then they'll issue it from that date
yes, mine was very quick, but it may be anomalous!
another point is : we were SUPER organised with the paper work. 3.5 years of planning went into it! lol

One of the staff said the visa processing at the moment is quite fast. Probably takes less than a month.
All the best!I'm a cruel and heartless bitch but I’m damn good at it!

I am of the understanding that your wife will have special priveleges if you have been married together in the Phils for 4 years, but I guess Mr Joe Bloggs would be better to advise you on that kind of thing!

Yes cheers james but I not going to be able to read any info now as i am off to bed shortly, we leaving for manila at 6.30am, Seeing as i am not allowed in the building i thought it only right that i should attend as morale support and wait in the nearest bar where i shall try not to drink too much alcohol with worrie to calm my nerves If it takes too long who knows what condition i may end up in
