At What Point Does a Chat Become a Relationship?
Just wondering as I never had to go through it myself.

Good question, this can cause a lot of confusion I reckon, especially before you've met. I was a bit cautious, so didn't want to jump in and call it a "relationship" until we'd actually met in person and seen how compatible we actually were. Others develop a relationship early on, meet and marry within a few months. Each to their own I guess.

But is this even if you still haven't met in person? With Suzie I wasn't talking to anyone else and she said that she wasn't. Yet after all I spend contacting her and that I did with her Birthday/Christmas presents + things for the family- just a couple of days later, a Danish 'stranger' came to see her and stayed with the family. After a few days she said she was in a relationship with him was in love with him and she then claimed that we hadn't been in a relationship and only thought of me as a friend.
I think you can fall for someone before meeting when you get on so well, have similar views and interests etc, but don't think it is real love until you meet in person. I've got on great before meeting someone, then when I've met them, they haven't been the same with me or they haven't been interested after.
the time With the first Filipina in London, before meeting we were getting on so well with emailing, texting and chatting on the phone that we both hid our profiles on the dating site. Then we met up one day, then met a couple of weeks after (as she couldn't make the one before) and had a canoodle! Then she came to stay for the weekend 2 weeks later. So at the end, I asked if we were in a relationship? She wouldn't answer and said was I sure what I was asking? A week later in the evening she said yes, then the next morning, she told me her problems and that I should find someone else! Over the next few months that we were seeing each other, even though we acted as a couple and I thought we were, it hurt when I found out that she thought we weren't!
So everyone seems different in what their view is of when it is a relationship or not-of course an LDR makes it even trickier! But going by what has happened to me before, I think it's better to find out their view and also if you are in a relationship or not!

Unless there are an encounter and some sort of commitment I don't see any relationship, talk is cheap commodity.

I think at a point wherein both parties agree and confirm to each other that they have this relationship.
I believe that even if you haven't really meet each other yet but had been constantly chatting for a long time, sharing each others thoughts, plans, dreams and fears then a possible good and lovely relationship can most likely be developed.
