Question for the Guys & Girls.....
Did you intentionally set out to find a Filipina/Brit or did it just happen that way?

It just happened that way. I guess the stars shon on me that day.
I really feel like I wasted my life on western women. Still, I look forward now.

It just happened that way - and I kept throwing it all away and went out looking for a fellow Brit - thinking a LDR was ridiculous and would never come to anything cos of distance, money and culture!
Filippino husband arrives next week.....watch this space!

It just happened that way..- Years ago, I met an Englishman inside a Filipino Chatroom ...He flew halfway around the world to come and meet me..live with me ..proposed and marry me ..and made me the happiest woman in the whole world wide universe

With the first one it just happened that way but it didn't work out in the end -she ended it. I guess this & the last time I've been looking, but I'm not closed off to UK women or women from certain other countries.

I purposefully set out to find a mail order bride, a good girl to take care of the household chores and give me on tap. Just kidding of course : Complete fluke

As I got older it became more difficult to find a decent woman so I made an effort to find a Filipina as I knew they would make a far better wife and have better values than the women I was meeting.
And now I couldnt be happier

it just happened that way... or shall I say its God's plan...We both find each other in FB but both didn't have intentions of looking for a partner in life...as the friendship grows, the love for each other grows and developed... :-)

Well ... at the risk of sounding repetitive ... MY reply is [basically] no different from those of most of the others so far. And although I'd heard so many good things about Filipina wives, I'd never really given the matter much thought ... having been widowed for 16 years after a long and happy first marriage. Indeed, by the time I had reached my early 60s, I never, in my wildest dreams, imagined myself settling down to "domestic bliss" a second time and, in fact, found I was quite content with being a free agent.
But all that was to change in 2007 ... when a chance encounter online led to two visits to the Phils the following year. And the rest, as they say, is history ...!

Hubby was really looking for a Filipina.. In my part I was looking for a guy who will love and accept both me and my son.
So it just happend when I met him (2006) through a common friend or should I say he fell in love in my photo when he saw it at yahoo 360, on our friend's friends list and couldn't resist to message me
After being friends for almost a year, we became couple. Now we're married and so happy with our sons Yujin and mini Adam (Isaac).

I'm just looking for someone as an equal and opposite, and a lot of UK women seem more intent on eating and complaining about men than putting any effort into a relationship.

To be honest, definately NOT. At work on the cruise ships we had a lot of Filipina working, and the general advice was don't go with them and vice versa because it could get complicated. Generally you could easily score a canadian/american dancer or a brit beautician without the hassle and strings. The Filipina's had a reputation for being out for a lot more then a one night stand, having a lot more respect for themselves, and if you screwed one over the Filipino crew would all be against for you and may take revenge. The filipinas were warned off the Europeans, because they were told we only wanted one thing....
Anyway, then I met Marvie (she was the only Filipina with Officer Status onboard) we just clicked, I delved into a feared cultural difference and came out a winner :-)
