Have you seen this...what are your thoughts?
I got an email today about this "name and shame" website for paedophiles etc.
NO LINKS WITHOUT PERMISSION
I think this is a good idea as long as the info doesnt get into the wrong hands, but I dont know how they could control it?

We shouldnt have to name and shame them, they should never be released in the first place

The 10% of peado's we know about are dangerous, but it's the ones we don't know that are very dangerous.

Whats to stop innocent peoples details being posted by malicious users?
A few months ago I picked up a child who had fallen over in the playground and seemed to be being ignored by all the adults there, and then got a torrent of abuse form the childs 'mother', including being called a paedo, just for being caring and kind! It was unkind and hurtful to me, but my kids were horrified at her and appalled by her language. I'd hate for my name to end up on a list because of people like this!'The mind is like a parachute - It works best when its OPEN'

One of the best things I saw in the Philippines two months ago was a board in the local supermarket with photographs of shoplifters who'd been caught. Some were photgraphed holding the goods they tried to steal.
I'm all for naming and shaming. As a parent I don't want paedos anywhere near my kids, but detailing where they live is bound to lead to reprisals. Is that a good thing? They should be locked up really for everyones safety.
