Hi! I am just new here in the forum and found it very helpful and very interesting and I hope that I would get answers to my questions.

A British man (living in the UK) and a Filipina (tourist in Thailand), both, single, never married, no children and of legal age (man is in his 50s' and she is in her 40s') decided to marry in Thailand. They wanted to be married there instead of the Philippines. I know that the Thai marriage is recognized around the world. They will decide to marry also in the UK as soon as she will be there.

My question is:

1. Is it possible for the Filipina to apply there in Thailand for a Fiancee Visa to the UK?

2. What are the requirements?

3. If she will apply in the Philippines for a fiancee visa to UK is it also ok that she use that marriage as proof?

Thank you and more power!

Note:

A Belgian man and a Filipina were married in Thailand. She was able to come to Belgium easier and that marriage in Thailand was a BIG THING. I know that Belgium is not the same as the UK.
