    Verification of Passport

    can the xerox be signed other than solicitor or can they be signed by a responsibel person like doctor or retired military officer.

    From my own experience for visa purposes it can be certified as "true copy" (stamped and signed) for example at local branch (or branch keeping your account) of your bank (building society) by its manager

    Hi Ron,

    I tried the bank I have had an account with for the past 10 years.

    They said ''it had to be someone of standing who knows you'' they recommended I tried my doctor.

    My doctor was more than happy to oblige. More so than the bank!

    ron, don't take risks with your app just to save £10+
    goto a solicitor, then it will be one thing less to worry about
