Transitional arrangements for earned citizenship
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/si...gements-earned
This was published today, though not sure if it is really new information. This is basically just confirming that anyone who hasn't applied for ILR prior to some date in July 2011 (exact date to be confirmed) will be subject to the new rules. And anyone who has applied for ILR prior to July 2011 will have up until July 2013 to apply for citizenship under the current rules.
So this is going impact some spouses already in the UK.
