Question re registration with Philippine Embassy
Hi,
I just wanted to ask a question that occurred to me whilst reading the previous post.
It was mentioned that registering a marriage with the Philippine Embassy should be done asap, I assume.
Can i ask, is this a neccesary step? My wife and I have lived in the UK for over 3 years now. She has her 'Indefinate Stay' visa and we are considering applying for her Naturalisation soon. But we never registered anything with the Phil Embassy. Should we have done? How will doing so now affect things? Any advice welcome.
TIA

p.s We were married in HK BEFORE applying for her entry to UK if thats relevant.

Re: Question re registration with Philippine Embas
When you come to apply for another passport whether it's English or Filipino, you'll need the marriage document, as they accept it as proof of marriage. If you haven't got one it'll all take longer to sort out and cost you more money.
If your applying for a UK passport, it'll take at LEAST 9 months, so you won't be able to go anthwere.Regards,
