certificate of approval
myself and my mahal are about to apply for a fiance visa and reading this in a website on marriage in glasgow stopped me in my tracks as i dont ever recall reading about this "certificate of approval" on any thread can someone please throw some light onto it thanks in advance

If you are applying for a fiancee visa then you don't have to worry about a 'certificate of approval' - the fiancee visa is your approval to get married in the UK.
If your mahal was in the UK on a student visa, work visa, etc then you would need to apply for a COA.

thank you for that answer as it puts my mind to rest now thats one less thing to worry about getting it will drive me but worth it in the end
