I get so embarassed by the British Gov. The price of a visa for Spain is around 4,000 P.
A British passport, in Spain is almost 200 euros, a Spanish ten year passport is 16.95 euros. Also, a Spaniard gets his/her passport at the National Police in the nearest major town.

VFS is also the reason ,why british embassy increased the fee, they have to pay the agency let say 50/50 just silly thought..but if it is considerable reason ,then great

FX Rates
Guys/girls...
Wouldn't hold your breath on the price falling.
Remember .... the stable part is the £585 cost of the fiancee visa
The "variable" part is the £/peso Forex rate...
.... which the Embassy in Manila amend/adjust monthly.
And .... looking at the current quoted prices over 1m, 2m & 3mnths
£/US$ is looking very stable...
and the peso is looking to weaken vs US$...
... so... meaning that these "prices" are likely to be with us for quite
a few months.
