If you are subject to immigration control you might still qualify for the Grant as long as one of the following applies:

    * you are a family member of someone who is from the UK or another EEA country
    * someone is sponsoring your stay in the UK

    Hi Scott

Ligaya can claim it. Let her ask for a form from her midwife. Ive got 2 friends on their flr visa they were able to claim it.

    Goodluck

    190 quid?Cor,wish I was buntis

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.

Aye, she is also qualify for free prescriptions. For her next appointment or phone the maternity unit if you could get a form for NHS Prescription CHarge Certificate in that way she can get free prescription once she gets the card which is valid for nearly 2 years. And dont forget the dentist free treatment.

i don't think they are classed as public funds.

Pregnant women and those who have had a baby in the last 12 months get free:

    * NHS prescriptions - but only if you have a valid Maternity Exemption Certificate
    * NHS dental treatment if, when you are accepted for a course of treatment, you are pregnant or have had a baby in the previous 12 months.

who told you, you cannot claim them ?
