I think that's a little bit too long but who knows, perhaps your wife will get the visa result next week. Hang in there.

i'm wondering if they are keeping her visa until she is 21
i've read recently about an American who was refused a fiancée visa and one of the reasons was she was under 21, even thou they applied before the age rule came into effect..
but i hope it's better news than that, i don't see the point in making you wait 12wks for a refusal, so maybe next week you'll have it

12-14 weeks seems to be the average now.

I think that, at this time, we need to remember that our applications were filed before the ECO's had their Christmas break. That was 1 week with no processing. I reckon we can add 2 weeks at least to our waiting times.

silly question but have you check your application on their website?
When we applied, we paid extra for the couier and sms service. I looked last thursday and it had changed to say it was now with courier. We did not recieve a sms and the documents not arrived yet. Hopefully they will arrive on Monday.
Keep positive

Visa Waiting
Hello Socool,
Only the British Embassy can tell about the status of your visa. The best thing to do is to call the embassy and ask them in a very polite manner that you would like to know the status of your visa, and if there is necessary requirements to be submitted or if they need additional requirements. They can tell you how it is going, if the papers are still at the processing or there are also many applicants before you.
I was waiting mine for I guess approximately 11 weeks but glad, I arrived Endland 23rd day of December, so im still catching to celebrate christmas here with my husband.
Do not worry, nothing is wrong until they will tell you. They will probably give you notice for whatever results. I do not see any problem for you since your petition is for your wife to come...if there is problem, it should be more on technicality, nothing serious about it! So cool....
Just extend more waiting and patience...its hard waiting, but you must!
