Typhoon Glenda was originally Typhoon Gloria?

The typhoon that hit the Philippines about two weeks ago (the latest being Typhoon Henry), the name should have been GLORIA and not Typhoon Glenda.

It was changed due to protocol (or whatever you call that thing that shields someone from embarrasment of sorts). The name of the lady president being Gloria.

Typhoon Glenda left 2 people missing, 27,000 people displaced and damage to agriculture (In Zampables and Pampanga alone) at an estimated Php25 million.

Those who side with the president, of course are glad about the change of the typhoon's name - or else the eponymous typhoon would be another anecdote circling the political arena, whose water right now are as murky as those in the streets.

If it kept the name, it would have gone out with a whimper like her presidency
