I was working for a Singapore company for 3 months under employment pass (EP). My EP was cancelled after I wasn’t regularized. So I returned back to the Philippines after my EP was cancelled. Our Singapore office has a UK sister company, the UK company wants me to go there for 2 weeks to evaluate my performance. They will sponsor airfare and hotel expenses. They will also provide sponsorship letter. My question is, is it possible for me to apply for a visa though I’m in the Philippines and unemployed? What visa type should be? Please advise.
Cheers.

visitor visa for an interview, but your not suppose to work on a VV, maybe in business category you can, not sure, as if they want to evaluate your performance, how could they do that, if you don't do some form of work, so maybe they class it as employment check with the embassy.
if your youngish, skilled and have at least a degree and have had a good paying job you could try applying under tier 1. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/wo...tier1/general/
or ask the company to apply for a work permit for you.
but not the usual thing to ask you to be evaluated for 2 wks..
