Hi there!

My name is Philip(whadda surpirse), formerly manila bound on this here forum.

I'm stuck here in Aberdeen, Scotland, where it's cold and wet... but, occasionally the sun does shine!!! The perfect place to bring my maganda fiance! :D

I'm a postman and a musician, if you'd like to hear my stuff send me a pm. B)

I met my fiance Tonet(see avatar pic) online during the autumn of 2004 and we met in person for the first time in October 2005 and again this May 2006. We are planning on applying for a fiance visa this winter and then to have a long and happy life together! :xxparty-smiley-050:

By the way, even though we're crap at it, we invented football!

You'll probably find that, like most things, the Chinese invented it first

Anyway, it's time someone else took the blame :icon_lol:

Oh well, its all over for another two years, but ever the optimist i`ve just signed up to the England supporters club for the Euro campaign.

That gets me tickets for the home games and a chance for the aways and as long as I go to 4 homes and one away I should be in with a chance for tickets for the finals (assuming we qualify) but surely we cannot be any worse than we were with sven.

Croatia, Russia, Israel, Estonia, Macedonia, Andorra... We shouldn't really have anyone to fear in qualifying for 2008. Just wondering if Hiddink will prove to be as troublesome for us as Scolari has been :)

KeithD

We had one of the weakest World Cup groups and we breezed through that

I just hope we play some quality attacking football, hopefully "Macca" will realise that yes we wanna win but we wanna do it in style

At least going on his previous his game enough to stick on five strikers to try and win a game so theirs hope for us still :cwm12:

ivor&mel

Now all we have to do is find 5 strikers who are fit and can stay on the pitch :yikes:

For the untravelled - the common greeting by an Aberdonian when meeting a stranger for the first time is :

Furry Boots ye frae?

.............and yes - there are more .........:cwm34:

Nach dem Brand
betrachte ich die Brandstatt.
Ascheland
füllt den Blick
bis zum Rand.

Schwarzer Rauch
ringelt auf
und in der Verlassenheit
beseh ich die Bewegung,
diese Regung
von Gestorbenem ...

Nur ein Rauch.
Nichts als Rauch.
Er flieht auch.

ivor&mel

Babelfish translates it... sort of... :

After the fire I regard the fire place. Ash country fills the view up to the edge. Black smoke ring ELT on and in the leavingness beseh I the motion, this moving of dying... Only a smoke. Nothing as smoke. It flees also.
Think I prefer the original :D

scotsfiancee

Lets translate it this way,

After the flames
I look upon this place.
Ashes,
nothing but ashes,
choke the plains.

Black smoke
now curls, rises,
while forsaken,
I watch adrift
as the dead shift
and drift
slowly
away.

Just smoke.
Nothing but smoke.
It forsakes me too.
