Hello everyone!

I'm flying to the UK on the 30th and my wedding is scheduled on December 9. I was wondering if there is a possibility of working during the period before the wedding. It can be paid or volunteer work (paid is better :Rasp: ). I'm just not used to being idle and I can't imagine my life without work.

Well, if you have a Fiance Visa, you cannot work until you are married, it is a condition of the Visa.

And "no work" means neither paid nor voluntary, I believe...

Whereabouts in the UK will you be? There are lots of Filipinas here, you know, and many of them are in or have been in the same situation as yourself. Mel is in the same position, and we went looking for other Filipinas to help her acclimatise and socialise. Hopefully, you won't have time to be bored :)

We'll be living with my father for two months just west of London, then moving to our home in Bath thereafter.

I am sure there will be plenty of things to do and see and if you can meet plenty of other filipinos the time will go by quickly..

Erm... I hope so. Thank goodness I found this site. Ade says there's a library nearby. That's one good place to keep me busy.

Bath is a beautiful city - plenty to keep you occupied there. Just watch out for all the tourists :D
