A Philippine Independence Day Festival is to be held in Lampton Park, Hounslow (same venue as Barrio Fiesta) on 8 June 2008.
".....The entertainment lined up includes the personal appearances of Philippine Soap Drama Queen Ms. Judy Ann Santos, Comedian/Actress Ruffa Mae Quinto and professional TV host Ryan Agoncillo. The event will start with the morning parade of Philippine National Heroes by various Filipino cultural groups, ethnic dances of various Regional Associations and, Arts/Photo Exhibits and competitions and individual members of the Filipino community. There will be sports activities and a showcase of various Filipino bands within the park and lots of stalls to sell their products/services and sumptuous foods to enjoy and take home!..."
