Hahahaha Peter  actually the next best thing i did get engaged, i had been chatting to a lovely lady for some months, but as we all know we never know how these things work out until we meet, well i have to say when we first met it wasnt easy as she is so shy, and doesnt do "PDA" Public display of affection  however i understand her far more now, and when i went to her place up in the mountains of Bukidnon i realise what a lovely family she has, both they and indeed the whole village made me feel very welcome, i forget the number of times i was invited to have a drink by villagers  but i am tee total, and politely refused, except on the last day, i did have a small tipple with a few of them, it was a fantastic experience living in the village with them, and cant wait until i go back.
We are in the process of getting her a Passport to enable her to apply for her visa, but last Thursday when we went down to Maramag, someone stole her purse/wallet as she calls it from her handbag while we were shopping, unfortunately it had ALL of the IDs, Pics etc etc inside, plus a few thousand pesos, so now that has delayed the process naturally she was very upset about this loss, and was in tears about it because she had an appointment in Cagayan next monday for her Passport application this she has had to cancel, she now has to get her IDs applied for ie Postal Id, Police clearance, Postal Id, her Phil Health Id, and all the pics done again, speaking to her today she has got the Police clearance done, she has got her Phil health, she has applied for her Postal Id 3/4 weeks, so now just her Postal Id to do which can take up to 1 year to get, and her pics done again, i just hope we can get her a visa once the Passport is issued.

That's just awful. I understand how she feels.
ID's are extremly important here in the Philippines and can cause a lot of worry and stress when it comes to reporting the loss and securing new ones.

We had a similar experience one time and needed to supply Affidavit of Loss for almost everything before getting replacements.

Anyway sounds like all is going pretty well for your Finacee without too much hassle.
Which is the ID that will take a year ?

Reading what i wrote i repeated Postal Id twice, i meant to say Her Voters Id thats the one that will take up to one year before she gets a replacement.

Yes thanks we did, it will be even better if Jan can get her visit visa, she finally has to collect her passport on May 9th, then we can continue the process of her General Visa application.

I see I am also from Mindanao my husband is from United States. I can imagine how she feels like shy and conservative. Congrats
