Well another week another dollar they say , and what a week.
I think we all can say what a week that was and it cant get any worst or more busy but they do, and last week was the busiest i have ever known.
Lets take on more work and we can do this and that and the more i explain to the owners that they are pushing the drivers more and more , they give us more and more.
I was so close to saying up yours and i did to the other depots who tried to put more onto me.
Funny aint it, you could walk out in a split second but then you have a life time thinking what have i done.
Anyway i had to give another driver his notice Friday night even though we are so busy and we cannot seem to attract new drivers, this man had to go.
He has been with us less then 2 months and we have had a few complaints, members of the public complaining about his driving and even our our customers complaining about his attitude when he is on there premises plus a few other things.
So it was left for me to give him the news, well it started of well, then came his outburst about how we are and he is going to see his uncle Richard,
Whos uncle Richard i asked, "hes in charge of the RHA", and he will sort this out. then a few more chosen words was said, well that was it.
I told him well he has been saying that he is finishing work tonight anyway so here is your weeks notice and he can work it or not and then escorted him out of the door.
Anyone out there looking for a driving job 20 to 40 drops a day plus collections in a set area let me know:NoNo:

Me too... after many years of charging around the country, finding places and keeping appointments.

Too many overcrowded roads with people dawdling along, and too many speed cams now. :NoNo:

Shame I don't like driving as I'd maybe take you up on the offer.
