How do you tell if its a genuine call for help or just another lets hope we can get some cash from that person,
They bombard you day in day out pleading and you keep saying no, but they keep it up with another plea,
We all help in our own little ways give here and there but the worse thing is having that feeling of being used,
What is in your mind is that you will know they will be back in a month or two asking the same thing again and again,

i have seen guys on the brink of a breakdown because of this, and know one guy whose wife took out a ridiculous sized loan, pawned her jewellery as well as her wedding ring, sold her shares, and withdrew the 30 grand in her bank account, needless to say their story didnt have "and they both lived happily ever after" ending, all because of the constant demands from the PI,and if its bad when your living here it will be a damned sight worse when your living there, some families are like that.

Simple. Most excuses are about medical emergencies, so tell them you'll send a first aid kit via DHL :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Some families are like that and others are not at all like that.

Within the family there are some members who are like that and then other members who not.

Since living here we have discovered exactly who we can trust and be close with and we also eventually discovered quite a few family members who are now completely out of our lives.

There's a lot of cultural behaviour involved too

Better just to say you will pray for them...as their other relatives do.
