I read recently that Philippines has climbed to the dizzy heights (or more correctly lows) of 21 out 22 Asian countries for internet speed. :doh

You have to experience it to believe it. Roll on the end of my PLDT contract.

Never liked the idea of "Glamping" very overpriced, poncy & pretentious. The places they show on Four in a Bed are run by complete a-holes

How would us Filipinas who are too far away from our family and friends in the Philippines would see and connect to each other? It's the easiest way I know! Seeing their photos and videos posted there make me see how the family events or vacations have turned out. Just because something doesn't conform to your standards, you can't remove the fact that it's been a great help to others. It's how you use it.

Without Facebook, I wouldn't have met Keith. He would probably still be an old miserable git if he hasn't met me in Facebook! :xxgrinning--00xx3::biggrin:

Sumilon Island sounds a nice place.
At P10k/P12k per night it's very pricey IMO

Pearl Farm Beach Resort is very near for us and with great accommodation and activity for around P6k/P8k per night.

Quite a few smaller beach resorts will let you pitch up a tent for a very small charge. That's the opposite to glamping

It is expensive but you should see the rates for their normal rooms - Php 15k - 50k per night! But they don't want kuripot riff-raff like thee and me, Peter, this place is for the rich crowd from Eastwood and other highly select areas.
