Nice pics Graham - I like the one with the phone & post boxes in pristine condition, they wouldn't last 5 minutes in some of our dreadful towns and cities

I only did 10 miles Steve, as it was very windy and hard work, to be honest. The satnav is to stop me getting lost. lol...also records my occasional 30 mph...downhill.

I bought the horn to SHIFT deaf and blind pedestrians out of my way on the cycle routes around York. :xxaction-smiley-047

Probably watched 24 hours a day by 100 CCTV cams mate, as that is a very upmarket village. I didn't hang about in case they called the police on me for stopping. :icon_lol:

Haha...strictly down a long hill with a following wind. :icon_lol:

Sore point that...no hills in York, where I lived before. EVERYWHERE round here. :cwm3:

YORKSHIRE SUMMER'S DAY

Quiet country lanes abound in greenery,
Wide open spaces 'midst glorious scenery.
There's much to commend in using a bike
Go where you want ... or stop when you like
Such a lot to feast your eyes on
When gazing t'ward the far horizon
Quaint villages with Norman Church tower
Are all best explored by pedal power
One thing's for sure - you'll never tire
Of the hills and dales in rural Yorkshire
Can be tough work ... but do not fear
Simply move down - or up - a gear!
When at length your trip is o'er
I guarantee you'll be back for more.

Very apt Arthur...and of course a deadly accurate description of 'god's own country' .

Actually, that reminds me...have to go back to that lovely village and have a look around the cemetery in the pic. My brother, (the genealogist of the family) has pointed out that our great grandmother, plus a few other relations from that era, hail from there ! :Jump: What a coincidence.
