We are looking at Stairways at this moment.

Our staircase is concrete but are looking at ways to cover it. I would like wood but this may not work, tiles too would look nice.

The staircase is a 'u'-shape and the handrail too. What do we use, stainless or wood? Again I would like wood. What are the pros and cons for using these?
The floor downstairs that runs up to the staircase will be tiled, so do I just run the pattern straight up the staircase?

Our house in Marikina has tiled stairs and I never really liked it.
Personally I prefer wood. :xxgrinning--00xx3:
Our current house has wood.
Each to their own I say

I assume that the staircase in our house was built with concrete. The stairs, landing and upstairs are finished with highly-polished wooden parquet. Looks classy!

I would love to have a parquet floor over in the Phils, would I be able to?????

At my home here in England, the hallway has a parquet floor - herringbone design - and it looks very nice.

Our third floor in Marikina had Narra wood parquet flooring.
Can't remember exactly how much it cost, but it wasn't expensive.

We had it installed and finished by the supplier and we were very pleased with the result.
