Keith, did I dream this or did you post a picture on here of Facebook using a teleconverter? If it was real what do you think of them? And if it was a dream ignore me

I think you've been smoking something  :Cuckoo:

I do use a teleconverter though, but only for things a long way off. It come in very handy in places like Nevada and California as you can see for miles. Taking a shot of Mt Whitney's summit with a 300mm + teleconverter saves walking up 14,000ft :xxgrinning--00xx3:

I used to have one years ago Steve.
Found it be great for nature photography :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Just be aware you'll lose a stop or two and any slight imperfections in the primary lens you're using will get magnified along with the slightest bit of camera shake.

I nearly always used it with a tripod set up but it was a huge advantage and with some great results.

Make sure it's fully compatible with your set up :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Thanks Peter, it is mainly going to be used for the moon shoots. I will pop down to the camera shop, seek their great advice and let you all know what I have done
