Hi all,

I have been to Cebu before and did not get a great impression of it... though I have heard about Mactan island and Lapu Lapu and I want to give it another shot...

I am after somewhere near to a beach so I can relax, but not too far from the bus station as I want to do a day trip to Oslob (leaving at 3am)... I am a Yorkshireman so i don't like to spend too much money.

Does anyone know any areas I should stay around (near to a nice beach and not too far from the bus station) or any good hotels which are not expensive?

Thanks

Bus station is in the city, so hardly near to a beach - or whatever beach would be owned by a resort.

Thanks for getting back to me... oh, ok - I guess I will stay in the city for a night and then move to the beach if I can find a good public beach as I saw that some places charge 2,000 to use the resort for the day!

Go to Moalboal. A lovely resort called Love Beach Resort. Aircon room 1500 pesos a night. Close to Oslob. Snorkeling there is incredible with coral reefs and sea turtles.

Great for a two or three night stay. The resort is on the beach.

2 hours from Cebu City. We rode there on a bike.

Tingko Beach in Alcoy which is on the way to Oslob from Cebu is one of the best beaches on that particular island.
