Prince William and Kate are in Harrogate for the Tour de France Saturday. Then this afternoon a customer informed me that David Beckham and his family are also attending. Wow what a weekend ahead for Harrogate, Knaresborough and Yorkshire - such a fantastic area to live and work :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Looking forward to it, not working as cars are pretty much banned.

Should be great showcase for Harrogate - crowds expected to be in the hundreds of thousands :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Beckham in local shop asking for directions to local park. He has hired out a large country pub for the event.

Rumored Kate and Will booked top floor of Betty's !

Getting really busy in the town and police have warned us of traffic snarl ups with the frogs bringing the Tour de France equipment etc.

Yep....road closure signs all over the place.

I hope you manage to do well out of it Les.

Have you rented your house out yet ?

I'm losing money Graham as I'm off to it and not working (can't drive in town centre anyway)

Tales of lots of people renting house out - one guy rented his small house out for 3 days for £12,000 :yikes:

Ah, ok. I wasn't sure which way it would go for you...businesswise.

Yes, I'd thought of renting mine out.

12 grand would certainly cover any cleaning and minor damages.

Anyway it's mental in Harrogate today - the day before the race - Choppers in the sky, zillions of people. I counted about 8 bars on the main finish line grassy area.

Dead excited!
