I see the thread he started in this section has been closed.

Has he been banned from the forum?

I don't know if other threads he may have started have been deleted---but nowhere did I read him being abusive to other members--quite the reverse if you read his posts.

I didnt agree with much of what he wrote---but I did find it provoked lively debate.

My wife always wanted to visit to Blackpool. I did a post on our visit last July.

..Now Blackpool.
We didn't like it at all.

We only took the time to go there so we could visit the famous Blackpool Tower and eat some of those famous Fish n Chips.

Well, Blackpool Tower was closed. No idea when it will re-open.
The Fish n Chips were nice but not as good as we imagined. Probably could have been a better overall experience without the boisterous screaming kids running around, the obviously highly stressed teenage mum and the foul-mouthed drunken yobs ramming steak pies down their necks using only their hands.

To be fair we only actually spent 2 hours in Blackpool itself so maybe my view is somewhat skewed.

As far as I know Blackpool is supposed to be a seaside resort where working people take holidays full of family fun and great entertainment.
Now, as you wander along the promenade, fighting against the surley skaterboys, it's easy to see only the negatives. Boarded-up shops, poundshops, burger bars, kebab shops, seedy and unruly uninviting pubs and crappy rock and candy-floss shops.
The Coral Island amusement arcade looks rough and dangerous, houses tough kids and even tougher parents locked in an eternal dance with a slot machine.

There are teenage parents everywhere with so many openly drinking from cans of cheap beer and cider.
To me, Blackpool seems dedicated to the kind of 'fun' that attracts far too many people for whom even life itself is no fun at all.

"Is everybody happy?"

Someone once said It's a sin to be unhappy in Blackpool.

What a shame. Tat, drunkenness and an attitude.

On the positive side, the new tram system out of Blackpool is wonderful. Well worth the outbound trip.

Maybe we went on a bad day Joe :Erm:

No I was not banned.

I was issued an infraction by Steve.r for spam. The spam in question was a link to Agoda in a hotel review I wrote, that review along with the link was deleted. I couldn't message Steve.r to ask about this so I started a thread which was also deleted. As was the follow up thread.

Keith pointed out that no outbound links are allowed, which I missed in the small print.

Apparently I am also abusive to members on here. Though I must have done so in my sleep and that thread must have been deleted because there is no abuse from me on this forum (open challenge to anyone to dig out an abusive post I made).

:yikes: Gob-smacked Terpe, and you only spent 2hrs there :NoNo:

Poundshops are everywhere

This is not the Blackpool I know, I've hardly ever seen anyone drunk :NoNo:

Well, its no secret I pretty much hate Blackpool (aka Cesspool), however even I have to disagree with the above statement.

That Coral Island place for one isn't dangerous at all and a place I'd be happy to take my family. The rough lot don't eat steak pies, they stick to a more liquid diet of Stella, or in the women's case Greggs cheapest fare.

Also anyone who knows Blackpool can tell you the fish & chips there are at best mediocre. It's just a cliche about the fish & chips in Blackpool, they really aren't so good.

You can have a laugh in Blackpool, I choose not to though. Well it makes a half interesting day trip, but blimey imagine spending a week there.

Have you got kids Iani?

If you would take your kids to Coral Island, why do you call it Cesspool ??

Maybe it's not for some, but I've got good memories of the place, and my kids like the place, I've no doubt they would rather go there than Harrogate

More than four million adults visited the UK’s most popular seaside resort between September and December 2013 according to the latest national Omnibus survey.

Saying it's full of drunks, manky and a :censored: hole is :icon_lol:, I've seen programs on Magaluf that make Blackpool look like Bournemouth :olddude:

You know what I mean LES

Using Magaruf as the yard stick says it all :icon_lol:

It's a run down dump, we all know that but I have been many times and just accept for what it is.

Once again, Harrogate is not aimed at kids -never has been, never will - no-one is asking you to bring the kids here

I know you've been to Magaluf Les, I've seen your video. I don't know how you can take the :censored: out of Blackpool for hen parties, I wonder what Terpe's wife would think if she walked into the bar Les that you were in :yikes: :icon_lol:

I could post it, but that would be a bit cheeky :butthead:

Yes ... Cheez was banned within the last hour or so.

"E'dam(n) it ... he'd been "past his 'sell by' date" from the start and his posts were becoming increasingly mouldy ... :anerikke: ... which was no "goud a"t all.
