I hope they put Manchester on the list, as at the moment for us Northern folk, it is still classed as indirect

I don't mind a lower standard of service on direct flight, as I am paying for the convenience and not the service.

Too right ! :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Then again, it's probably worth a few hours on the flight not to have to mix with a load of Southerners/illegal immigrants/Romas.

Awful long time to be on a plane mind. Did the flight from Amsterdam to Joburg at one time, which would be similar. I guess it's better than the stop over though, hmmmmm

Exactly what we thought, better to get there than kick around in some airport for hours....

....The flight is between 14-15 hours ....

Yes, that's a long time. I wonder why :Erm:
Anyone know ?

I'd have thought around 13 hours.

Just over 13 1/2 hours is longest non-stop flight I've taken in economy class.

I do like the idea of non-stop to Manila but I'd like to hear some reviews before taking it.
I'm pretty sure a 15 hour non-stop flight can easily stretch to 16 or more hours in those darn seats. :Cuckoo:

Philippine Airlines have no agreement to fly over Russia so thats why these flights are taking so long
Their present routing is the long way over India up past Dubai and then on to London
Flying the China/Russian route should shave 2 hours off these flight times

So lets hope they can sort this out sooner rather than later..........

PAL flights are full of cute little 5 foot ladies needing my help to stow their bags in the overhead lockers.
