Has anybody else stayed in Tune Hote? I've stayed in the 2 in Manila in Ermitta and Makati and the one in Cebu.
Was wondering what anybody else thought.
I like the price and simpleness but the rooms are quite small and if there is 2 of you then you'll be tripping over your luggage.
Also the shower room which looks ok floods water out into the toilet area, that has happened at every Tune i've stayed at.
The 2 in Manila have nice bars attached to them downstairs which do good food, especially the makati site.

They are aimed at the budget and 'short-time' market, and are fit for that purpose.

As an alternative you could try the Sogo Drive-In chain (see their website).

I've stayed at the Pasay one (EDSA/corner FB Harrison) ...handy for the airport, Mall of Asia, and LRT station, which I found very acceptable...except for the food, which wasn't up to much. I just phoned for takeways, delivered to my room instead.

It's called the Sogo.

Evidently we stayed at different places.

The Tune hotel chain are also known to be cheap short-time hotels....or 'knocking shops', as you call them. What hotel isn't ?

What's wrong with Filipino men and their girlfriends ? :Erm:

Am I to assume that you're celibate ?

LOL Definately not celibate. What i meant was married Filipino men with their girlfriends. Nothing wrong with that also.
Yes SoHo and SoGo are different places

I always stay at the Tune Hotel in Mabini Street Ermita. Although I agree that it is very small, and works out expensive as I tend to stay for 2 months at a time, it is convenient for local shopping areas and nightlife. I would ideally wish to rent a furnished 1bd condo in the same area for maybe 6 months but whenever I have made enquiries about this I have been asked to pay crazy money. I do not know whether it is OK to ask this question in this section but if anyone can assist in pointing me in the right direction to rent a condo as described above I would be grateful. Have a good day everyone.

Most Tune Hotel rooms dont have enough room for your girlfriends handbag so a suitcase is out of the question

Noisy air con and showers that flood the room adds to the experience
