.....before some of us have watched the race on BBC...and have been avoiding listening to the news since early this morning, so it doesn't spoil the highlights not shown til 5pm this evening. :Brick:

Its my dream to watch F1 for real, been watching it on TV ever since it began on TV,
my choice to view it for real is Singapore, don't know if I could afford it but would be ideal to fit it in on a flight to Philippines!:xxgrinning--00xx3:

Well, I've been lucky enough to actually work at one or two British Grand Prix back in the early 70's....and conversed with some of the greats from that era (I was with Carreras Rothmans then).

Lived in Singapore for 3 years, and as a little kid there, the very first dream I can recall was being in a Grand Prix racing car, and winning. :drivingx:

A few years before the real race arrived though. :icon_lol:

Anyway...excellent race today. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Well they still warn football fans of an upcoming result...fair enough.

I just wish they'd give the same consideration to racing fans.

I mean, how stupid can the BBC be ?

They announce the result of a Grand Prix they're due to screen a few hours later, every hour on the hour on radio news.. tv news too.

Idiots !

Not everyone has Sky, or wants to listen to Radio 5 at 4 in the morning.

It just :censored:s me off.

...As does quoting speeds in KPH on British TV !

F1 seems to have returned to the boring one man race routine again :Brick: He could have lapped the whole field if it wasn't for the safety car :doh

Surely if they were going to penalise anyone for that it would be Alonso for picking him up! :Erm:

It's getting to be like everything else these days...governed by 'risk-assessment'.

'Warning - Motor Racing Is Dangerous' used to be on your ticket.

Nobody wants people injured or worse, but some thrills and fun would be welcome. :anerikke:

James Hunt and Nigel Mansell come to mind.

Too much money in it now...too many interfering sponsors etc.
