:cwm24: ... interesting to see a prototype for what I've always regarded as being a quintessentially English  innovation.

Hmm ... wonder how it'll "fare" ('scuse pun) in the Pinas.

What a rubbish design.

You'd think they'd at least get the windows to match up top and bottom. :NoNo:

Why don't they just buy a couple of secondhand ones from Hong Kong ?

The buses they use in Hong Kong are made by Alexander Dennis in Scotland :xxgrinning--00xx3: Problem is the workers are about to go on strike!

My nephew Peter Taddei is design team leader. Maybe i could ask him to redesign the Philippine Jeep/bus when the factory closes down!

I wonder if the jeepney drivers would have to be trained to drive this double decker bus?

Looks nothing like a jeepney btw.

They would have to make a hatch on the roof. When they came to low overhead cables a guy would pop out with his bamboo pole.

There are plenty of big trucks on the roads in the Phils not much lower than a double-decker....just have to restrict routes slightly, which would be no probem for a vehicle aimed at tourists.

Tyres will become obsolete in Manila one day. All vehicles will be fitted with outboard motors :omg:

if double deckers were to take off there would be a lot of pissed off jeepney drivers thats for sure .big investment but would it pay ? all it would take is a pissed off jeepney driver and a petrol bomb and it would be all over.
