Until I saw your post I'd never heard it mentioned either.

Have you already seen this link :-

This is a pretty interesting and captivating blog:-

Could be almost as challenging and at the same time as rewarding as a trip to Itbayat Island (Batanes).

Got me thinking now...:xxgrinning--00xx3:

Just out of curiosity, how did you hear about it?

I noticed it on the map Peter...Just browsing really.. Did a Google image search..Thats all.
Just wondered why a location so close to Manila is so undeveloped and virtually unknown?
Must be something wrong!!

Great Photo that. :xxgrinning--00xx3:
Wish I could be there now with an ice-cold SML

Maybe it's just too difficult to get there and too undeveloped for most folks.
Certainly suits me though from the accounts I've now read.

Anyone heard of the Camaya Coast? It's in Bataan.
A ferry ride away from Manila and not far off Corregidor Island.

Isn't the Philippines just amazing :Jump:
Really amazing.

No Jaimie, hadn't heard about that either.

There's too many places for me to see and not enough time :cwm25:

It sure is amazing Peter. Considering it's coastline is nearly twice that of the United States and the number of islands it has, there's bound to be places we've never heard of. I think only Indonesia, Canada and Finland have more islands than the Phils.

As for the Polillo Islands - I've heard of them but I don't think they're that popular. Certainly not as much as somewhere equally as remote such as Batanes.

My wife has been there for a wedding a few years ago. From our town it is roughly a 1hr drive to Infanta Quezon where you can catch the boat to Polillo. She didn't seem to enjoy herself at the time but i put it down to the rough banca trip she had on the outward trip  Asked her again today and she said 'pangit beaches, hindi maganda'. Showed her the pictures you guys have posted and she reckons that most of the beaches are rocky with grey sand :cwm3: Guess she didn't go to the right place!

If you have been to Quezon and the provinces in Bicol you will notice they are all undeveloped with few roads and infrastructure. For some reason the national government does not see these areas as a priority in tourist development

Here is somewhere south of Polillo that we have visited and the wife enjoyed herself
