Do you have photos of yourself/partner when you/they were younger? There's an ongoing trend in Facebook & Instagram posting old photos every Thursday, called "#throwbackthursday" (although it's a Friday today, I would post this thread ). So I think we can have something like here..:Rasp: It's good to reminisce some old memories..anyway, below is just a few of my younger days..hahahaha..:icon_lol:

1 yr-old me

Awww...Peter, you were a bouncing baby boy! So cute! :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Sweet_Mazza, I wish I have photos of me with my dad when I was younger..sad to say most of our photos when we were younger were burnt when we had a fire where we live. The ones that were saved where photos that my grandparents kept while we were growing up..thanks for posting your cute photo. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Graham, your son really got your looks! :xxgrinning--00xx3:

I don't think I can post Keith's photos when he was younger (his mum has it all)..he might take my laptop away from me..hahahaha..:icon_lol: although I've seen them when I asked his mum to show me his photos..

Arthur, here's a copy of some advice I received from Doc Alan about posting photos on the forum, hope it helps you too :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Photobucket is recommended for posting photos on the Forum

Once you have uploaded your photos on Photobucket, when viewing them, you will see on the right hand side " Links to share this photo? ". Left click on " IMG " for each photo, then paste that link to your Forum post. The photo(s) should then appear after you complete your post.

Doc Alan
22nd September 2013, 09:22
Following on from Rosie's post ( the link didn't work ), a few members ( as well as Arthur ) have mentioned difficulty in posting photos on the Forum. I’m sure there are many quality photos which you would like to post here.

• Ideally if starting from basics it’s best to ask someone you know to explain while they’re with you. However, assuming you have been able to save photos ( often referred to as images ) on your computer, then use Photobucket for any you wish to share on the Forum.

• Click on “ Upload “ then “ Choose photos & videos “.

• Select the photo you wish to copy from your computer by “ left clicking “ on it.

* Once you have uploaded your photos on Photobucket, when viewing them, you will see on the right hand side " Links to share this photo? ". Left click on " IMG " ( Image ) for each photo, then paste that link to your Forum post. The photo(s) should then appear after you complete your post.

Hope this helps :xxgrinning--00xx3:!

It's good to sound 'blonde' every now and then Rosie. .A definite icebreaker :icon_lol:

It's the focusing ..in your example, your background is out of focus while you are in. ..normally instants put everything in focus. .it's a compromise. .nowadays SLR's are as simply to use as the instamatics of yesteryear.

Thanks Rosie  I wasn't expecting that :xxgrinning--00xx3:

It's good to sound 'blonde' every now and then Rosie. .A definite icebreaker :icon_lol:

It's the focusing ..in your example, your background is out of focus while you are in. ..normally instants put everything in focus. .it's a compromise. .nowadays SLR's are as simply to use as the instamatics of yesteryear.

Thanks for the interesting information on SLRs, one learns something new everyday!
