Well I popped along to Sixfields (Cobblers ground) today to cheer the Cobblers as they set off to Wembley.
A good few hundred fans turned out to wish them well and give a good send off.

Tomorrow, Northampton Town play Bradford City for the League Two play-off final.

A big turn around from last season when we were all praying to secure a vital point to avoid relegation.

C'mon Cobblers, best foot forward, don't get back on your heels stay on your uppers give it heart and Sole and give one Last win for the fans.

Might have mentioned this before Les, but our manager is Aidy Boothroyd.
He's a Yorkshireman, a Bradford boy born in Baildon.

Phil Parkinson isn't a Yorkie, he's a Lancashire lad.

C'mon Cobblers, put some egg on those Batams :icon_lol::icon_lol:

Well 3-0 to Bradford at half-time means it's a very tough come-back challenge needed.

All pundits agree that Northampton were totally outplayed in all depts during the first half.

Well Bradford scored 3 goals in 13 first-half minutes, so everything to play for still :xxsmilie_fussball:

Promotion for us next year. Lots of disappoinment for us. :bigcry:

But still a great season overall. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Hope we can hang on to Aidy Boothroyd, he's a darn good manager

Northampton's defence looked woeful from what I saw of the goals.

If you're used to watching the premiership, it's all pretty woeful below the Championship. ..I watched my team Swindon over the playoffs. The mistakes being made over the field by both teams were embarrassing. .still, I hope someday we can return to repeat past glories :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Yep, I'm afraid so.

That wasn't the Northampton Town that earned the Wembly place.

I know what you're saying but this defending was schoolboy stuff.

Yep, I'm afraid so.

That wasn't the Northampton Town that earned the Wembly place. They do seem to have a habit of leaking goals from what I gather, especially away from their own patch.
