Regarded one of – if not THE best – luxury liners in the world, the MS Europa arrived in Boracay Island with some 750 European tourists and crew on board.

The Department of Tourism (DOT) in Boracay said the MS Europa docked at the Cagban jetty port in Boracay Island where several local government officials in Aklan and concerned lined government agencies gave a warm welcome for the visiting tourists.

It also goes to Kalanggaman Island in Leyte, and that island is so small it takes ages to find on google maps.

The jewel of Leyte and apparently one of the nicest islands in the Phils. No wonder cruise ships visit. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

What a cute baby !

The first Filipina I ever wrote to (long time ago...no internet. lol) was from Palompon.

Sadly, we never did get to meet. I had it all planned to visit her, but I met someone else first.

I happened to wander out of the Mall one day in Hong Kong, to be confronted with a rather large ship tied up alongside (QE2). So I walked along a bit to get a better shot. Wondered why the shops were busy. :icon_lol:

Actually I had 4 lined up...just in case. :biggrin:My mate used the same tactics before internet dating arrived. I think he had a lot more than 4 but the chose the first Pinay he met and has been with her ever since.

You were actually waiting for the Star Ferry to go to HK island as it was cheaper than the MTR

Great little trip as you could watch all the boats and see the HK skyline :xxgrinning--00xx3:

The Star Ferry routes were always much better that a harbour cruise. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

That Kalanggaman Island sounds like a great place. More research for me there I think

That Kalanggaman Island sounds like a great place. More research for me there I thinkI'm surprised you haven't heard of it Peter but to be fair I think it's only a household name on islands close to it such as Leyte & Cebu. I've heard you can reach it from Malapascua Island as well as Palompon but don't quote me on that.
