Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson wants to set a points record that could never be beaten as he aims for 96 points by the end of the season.

The current record of 95 points is held by Chelsea and Ferguson believes that if they achieve the 96 target, it may never be beaten.

"Well, there are four different types of challenge," the boss told MUTV. "We've got Arsenal who are chasing a Champions League position and then it's Chelsea, who are in exactly the same position as Arsenal.

:laugher: Out of your reach now Ferguson
