Only a passenger today, in my friend's car, but good fun.

TVR Car Club run out.

(The popping and banging noises are actually from the noisy TVR T350C in front...exhaust over-run. Sounded like a mobile firework display. lol).

What are the striped poles at the side of the road? Snow drift markers or something? My Mum came from an isolated village on the moors and told us she sometimes had to walk to school on top of hedges

Yes, they are markers for when there is deep snow/drifts Dedworth.
Useful for when there's thick fog too.

I remember when I lived in Richmond in the Dales, as a teenager, and the drifts on the hill at the back of our house were 10-15 feet deep. :)

Yes Michael, the guy who originally founded the company back in 1949 was called Trevor Wilkinson. He used some of the letters in his Christian name...TVR.

Looks like a great hobby to have, racing around the Yorkshire Dales with like minded friends in a beautiful fleet of TVRs

Sigh, my TVR hasn't been out of the garage much in the last few months. I'd love to take it to the office today but the roads around here are filthy, I'd rather the BMW took all the dirt! Rose finds my T350 very comfortable to ride in but she hates the acceleration ... and she still hasn't experienced a real full-bore acceleration from standstill :omg:

There were certainly some grubby looking cars at the end of 100+ miles charging across the damp and dirty Dales. :icon_lol:

I think if I took my TVR to the office I'd be more concerned about clumsy people in car parks than it getting mucky. Expensive. :cwm24:
