Nearly half of adults in Taiwan and a quarter of children are obese.

The Taiwanese government is so concerned that they have put the nation on a diet.

For the past two years Taiwan's residents have been encouraged to eat more healthily and take more exercise. Companies, community groups and schools are given awards for hitting their weight-loss targets.

And it is working. Taiwanese have together lost 2.2 million kilograms since the start of the scheme.

I don't know if it still happens in Japan, but during our time there these kinds of activities would happen in virtually every office and every factory at least once a day. Usually organised in teams by the manager.

It may sound crazy but it was actually very enjoyable, made you feel much better and helped with team bonding too.

Not sure how well it would be accepted here in UK ?
Probably not at all :icon_rolleyes:
