Base on my other thread, wonder if we can file a complain against action fraud police , the way they handle our case?
They warn us not to speak with those people any more because they are criminals!

SO why don't they do further investigation to stop future victims, its hard and hurting me so much to accept that they can not help us recover our money but want them to at least do their job as they said, "bring criminal to justice". We already given them the bank details of that company, and our bank said only Police can do further investigation against the person behind this business bank account, and only police can request the bank to freeze their account.

If Police do their job, we might still have a very little hope , at least would enlighten us a little bit lol to know that this has to stop!

I know i was so stupid, thick and dumb paying them through direct bank transfer, I honestly thought we are still covered if anything goes wrong.. But direct bank transfers is good as handing a cash to them!

Oh Lord! Sorry guys, you might be bored now reading almost the same thing lol... i just have a very heavy chest and a big hallow in my stomach feeling.. i am so embarrass of my stupidity

Marlyn and Kenny, please stop blaming yourselves and feeling shame. Thank you for drawing our attention to this topic, and thanks to joebloggs it seems the relevant agency is ActionFraud (
http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/ ).
This is what they claim :-
“ Action Fraud is the UK’s national fraud reporting centre where you should report fraud if you have been scammed or defrauded.
We provide a central point of contact for information about fraud and financially motivated internet crime. People are scammed, ripped off or conned everyday and we want this to stop. We believe that we can beat fraud if we talk about it.
The service is run by the National Fraud Authority – the government agency that helps to co-ordinate the fight against fraud in the UK. We work with partners in law enforcement - the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau, run by the City of London Police - to make sure your fraud reports reach the right place.
You can report fraud using our online fraud reporting service any time of the day or night; the service enables you to both report a fraud and find help and support. We also provide help and advice over the phone through the Action Fraud contact centre. You can talk to our fraud specialists by calling 0300 123 2040. “
Their next paragraph is vague and not reassuring :-
“ Reports taken are passed to the police who may contact you for further information. Action Fraud does not investigate the cases and cannot advise you on the progress of a case. “
However, please try calling them and filling in their online form, which they claim takes 20 minutes, and try to stay positive. I’m sure you have members’ sympathy.

Oh yes, they most certainly do ... our HEARTFELT sympathy! :olddude: ... I can still recall, only too clearly, feeling gutted at losing £60 once. But to be cheated out of almost x30-times that amount must be totally devastating.

Filthy, :censored: scumbags responsible, deserve to rot in hell! :cwm23:

HI, Yes we did file a crime report with them but they said they will review reports and choose the serious crimes and might not even read our report apparently. I have found their facebook page for action fraud and seems lot of victims of frauds got no help from them at all!! they just receive calls and drink their tea! this job should have never been taken off the police,,,, :cwm23::cwm23:

Of course, we could complain about a fraudulent police activity. Because they are there to implement the laws and not to break the laws. As in some of under-developed countries you might find some of police men involved in a crime activity, which need to highlighted to get rid of them.

Your bank should sort it out. They have a fraud team.

:iagree:, Andy ... I just cannot believe the lackadaisical attitude of the police, the Fraud Prevention authorities and - most of all - the bank's reluctance to further-investigate incidents of this nature. It's :censored: deplorable! :cwm23:
