Polish Institute for International Affairs (PISM) said the European Union (EU) might have to lift visa requirement for all Turkish citizens due to the result of the "Demirkan case" the European Court of Justice (ECJ) would adjudicate in 6 months.

Thing is, Turkish immigrants in the main do tend to do ok, don't often cause trouble etc. Not necessarily for cultural reasons the most trustworthy group you'll ever come across mind, this has even been said by politicians (just like most senior politicians will admit it's hard to come out of a stint in government and not hate the French).

This story though is quite ridiculous. The EU "forced" to accept visa free travel from Turkey?
Turkey is not in the EU, many would like it to be in some form (And frankly if they let in Romania and Bulgaria, then location - and to some, religion - apart, Turkey would have a better economic reason to be in the EU), so they do not have automatic right of travel.

Let Turkey have visa free travel, and there's no reason not to let China with it's economic growth come here with no visas, or how about Thailand, can bet there's loads of guys would like to bring over for a holiday that girl they met in a bar who lubs u long time mutts.

Oh come on, we all know EXACTLY which countries should never get visa travel for the EU and UK, and a raft of countries who currently need visas and which it would be no big deal if they had unrestricted access for visits

Thats just it,turkey is asia, even the "european" part is asian,3'rd world borders are as porous as a chalk roof-slate,very easy to get through without paperwork of any kind, watch out for a deluge :icon_rolleyes: Turkey is also one of if not the main heroin supply route into Europe because of corruption and poor border control.

The country is already flooded with immigrants seeking ECONOMIC ADVANTAGE...nothing else.
They are destroying our culture, undermining the employment and educational prospects of OUR children, increasing crimininality, soaking up social housing, weakening the cohesiveness of a civilised society and sowing the seeds of future civil conflict.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH ! :cwm23:
