Please accept my apologies for this delayed reply to your e-mail dated 02 June 2012.

As regards your query, the Philippine Embassy in London is still currently awaiting instructions from the Home Office for the implementation in changes in the visa guidelines.

As such, the 21-day visa free entry in still being observed by the Embassy. Visitors going beyond 21 days are being asked to secure a temporary visitor’s visa prior to travel.

Very truly yours,

Myla Grace Ragenia C Macahilig

Consul

Embassy of the Philippines

Yeah, I puzzled about this for some time.
The Department of Tourism (http://www.tourism.gov.ph/SitePages/customs.aspx) (DOT) still shows 21 days
as does the Department for Foreign Affairs (http://dfa.gov.ph/main/index.php/consular-services/visa) DFA

I couldn't find anything on the Bureau of Immigration website either.

It's strange that it actually appears here (http://www.philembassy.se/news/announcement-on-30-day-visa-free-entry) on the website of the Philippine Embassy for Sweden, Estonia,Latvia and Lithuania as a specific announcement.

Even on the Embassy websites for US there's no mention of the 30 day visa.

Curiouser and curiouser. :Erm:

And rather annoying when a member here posted last Saturday evening that its no longer 21 but 30 days. :cwm23:

We are aware that all posts are the views of individuals and that nobody can be held responsible if indeed you do act on there advice.

Still annoying though

I guess best wait for until a Brit gets a 30 day stamp in his passport on arriving Manila then notifies us.

Agree.

No idea why that Swedish bloke was posting here anyway....about Swedish immigration matters. ...only causes confusion and irritation.
