hi there , long time since I have posted. Just to let you know we got tickets with Cathay for one adult plus a 2 children (over 2) for £661 and £648 x 2 so £1958 plus £30 booking fee for Heathrow to HK 2 day stop over then to Manila, leaving June 29then rtn on 29th August. The agent was FLYANDGO. . I feel this is a good price when skyscanner and others were over £800. I booked on Wednesday evening and got e tickets on Thursday. All seems well . The outgoing flight is 2250 so great for the kids as they are tired anyway and I do not lose work time dropping them at Heathrow.

We have booked for all of us (2 adults, 2 Kids) £2,600 leaving 14th July for 3 weeks, so only missing the last week of school. A little more than expected but flying from Newcastle, so much easier.

We will be at the Birmingham Barrio fiesta on the Sunday, would be nice to meet up with members. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Next month's weekend in Scarborough ( east coast of England, not South China Sea :NoNo: ) is hardly a Barrio Fiesta, and it's a long way for some - especially Arthur and Myrna, among those who have already booked :xxgrinning--00xx3:. Still not too late - see http://filipinaroses.com/showthread.php/37628-June-weekend-in-Scarborough

Not told them yet, as its only the last week I hope its not a problem. It's only the older one in school at the moment, younger one starts in September.

i think you need to give 2 weeks notice, also depending on the local education authority policy and on the headmaster, i asked for little joes headmaster for permission the head granted that, as i told them he had never seen his family in the phils, same letter to my gals secondary school who refused us taking her out of school, (shes was 4 when she left the phils - not seen her family for more than 7yrs) anyway the refusal letter arrived after we had gone :doh, not really heard anything, the head can fine each parent £50, rising to £100 if not paid within 28 days. If you fail to pay a penalty fine within 42 days you will be prosecuted.

so i wait and see
