An aircraft that promises to relieve the pain of flying economy class has touched down in Britain for the first time.

Boeing says its 787 Dreamliner uses 20% less fuel and is 60% quieter.

The Dreamliner: 'Handles like a dream, amazing to fly'

It is being billed as one of the most revolutionary planes in the world.

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is built using carbon composite material, making it lighter and 20% more fuel efficient.

It is on a tour of the UK this week and the BBC's transport correspondent Richard Westcott got a chance to look around it.

Airbus are also working on a lightwieght fuel efficient model.

The race is on.......who'll be first to ride the dreamliner :icon_lol:

According to the news report that Boeing depends on British technology and includes a lot of British designed and manufactured products including engines, landing gear and seats. :xxgrinning--00xx3:
