They are allowed to use the whole lane though.

How blind does a motorist need to be ?

My boy uses his bike every day for going to college, and I never stop worrying about that sort of thing happening to him.

Cyclists are very vulnerable. There are many roads I wouldn't trust to cycling. Would be nice to see more cycle lanes....

Thats the thing, though, motorists can be 'blind' for all sorts of reasons......

being a cyclists, a motorbike rider, car and hgv driver, you do give plenty of room for the bike rider but many dont,

I read somewhere that some very advanced cities are trialling a system where no-body has priority, not cars, bikes or people and apparently it works out safer. A bit like the Philippines really lol

Well, when we all get into Sky-worthy cars then the cyclists will be much safer.......

theres no way that driver couldnt see the cyclist, see the wheel that could have easily been the cyclist,

If cyclists paid road tax I`d have more sympathy.

If cyclists paid road tax I`d have more sympathy.

Many cyclists also own cars (as I do) and also pay income tax, council tax, VAT etc.

As you probably know, road tax is not put into a special fund for the roads.

Cyclists also don't wear roads out or pollute the air.

Nobody is more keen a driver than I am, but in all honesty there is very little that can be said against cycling as a planet and people-friendly form of exercise and transport.

It 's like me criticising non-smokers....I can't. :)

maybe pedestrians should pay road tax to cross the road :Erm:

Graham, I just bought one of these to put in my car as there are some real nutters on the roads and recording them might help in case of an accident.

Can be used in lots of applications, like attached to a cycle helmet :xxgrinning--00xx3:
