Anyone ever heard or used this company? They promote cheap flights to manila.

never heard of them andy, what i do is skyscanner, then once got one price, shop around, the best prices i have every got are with the airlines all the time, etihad, cathy and so on, you may pay that little more then going through a agencie, but the price you see is the price you pay, no hidden charges, plus when you are booking the flight just check the days around the date may be tens of pounds cheaper, also with agencies, you get the cheap flights with the cheap carriers, they can and do change there flights at th drop of a hat, be warned:)

Never heard of them mate.

You might be surprised at how little difference there is in price going through one of the big high street travel agents.

I got my last ticket through Thomas Cook. :)

my first flight to manila was with etihad booked on line with them and then i rang thomas cook, they could not match it £617 flying out over xmas but said if i paid there price just another £5 they would give me a silver etihad card, they may upgrade me but no garentee, so i did go with them and yes i was upgraded on my flight back which was well worth the extra £5 :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Usually I'll check out the prices using Skyscanner (http://www.skyscanner.net) and Kayak (http://www.kayak.co.uk/flights?ispredir=true)

Then I normally call up a couple of travel agents to see if they can better the price or maybe equal the price but with better baggage allowance etc.
Often Crystal Travel come up trumps

Sorry Andy I've never heard of Omega either.

Southall Travel or Crystal Travel for me.

Do some background research on Omega, just in case they are not ABTA or IATA protected.

I booked 3 tickets to Manila a few weeks ago for £500 each

Not used 'em but their safety record seems OK unlike Pakistan Airlines who are prety much the worst in the world (makes you wonder why they are allowed into our skies)

Did you ask about Cathay? Are you flexible with the dates flight times in the day at all? I booked on Friday and am flying out on Thursday 17th May & returning Wednesday 6th June. A lot of the flight times are not so great such as arriving in Manila at 11.35pm and returning flight leaving at 6.20am!

Yes, I've heard of Omega and phoned them, but couldn't get through at the time. I went through all the places that advertise in my UK Filipino newspapers.

Ok thanks guys. Cathay dont fly from my airport. They have got to be those dates because of work commitments. Omega have phone numbers for differrent areas here.

Once again a great response from you guys. I contacted crystal travel yesterday (just enquired) The guy said not to worry because they are A.T.O.L protected. How do you find out if this is true? Like i said I have been screwed before. It was my first visit to the phils and to turn up at the airport and to be told the company I booked with was under investigation and my ticket was invalid is not a very good experience.

I've used them about 4 or 5 times and never had any issues. They're always very helpful for me, so easy decision.

Andy - article from 12 years ago but just make sure you keep an eye on them when they're fuelling the Malaysian aircraft :D

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/jets-running-out-of-fuel-over-britain-1092911.html

A mate of mine who is a BA Aircraft Engineer and worked with Malaysian said this was fairly commonplace then
