Hi all

had a good look around the web but can not find the information needed. Tried to PM a member that has some contacts in Davao but it does not work.

When I arrive I will want to be out and about looking for a house to rent. I think i now the rough area I want to be (Matina)

I need to hire a car and driver for a series of 1/2 days to ferry me around looking at property's.

Anyone have any contact or ideas how much a 1/2 day car (AC) and driver cost

Getting close now

Cheers

taxi's are so easy in matina and so cheap i wouldnt bother getting a driver for half a day. But i hired a taxi to the province for a 6 hour journey it cost me 3500 peso, about £55. taxi trips around Davao are metered but budget around 100 - 130 peso about £1.50 - £2 a time

Thank you

I just thought that doing a deal with someone would be cheaper than having a metered Taxi for a few hours to go around

I am looking for a place within reach of the Ateno university - would like a gated community if possible - 2 bedroom - budget 25,000 furnished - and suggestions please

There's a gated community (security guards at entrance) etc where the Red Knight hotel is situated.

... which I highly recommend.

Unsure how far from Ateneo University, but a few ex-pats hang out at the bar there (in the evenings), so they might be a source of some knowledge & answers.

Hi

Yes I will be staying there or drifters to start with - if I have it right they are both the wrong side of town for Matina - but will be good source of info as you say
