haha was in St Maarten last year, and visited this beach, the smell of jet fuel is great. Unfortunately St Maarten along with a few islands in the Caribbean is suffering quite a bit from violent crime at the moment. Had to ban our crew from shore leave at one point when a chef from another yacht was found decapitated on the beach (not from an aircraft wing lol).
Spent quite a bit of time on the sedate island of Barbados, a little quiet and dull, but perfect for anyone wanting a tranquil holiday.
