I toured all over france for a month. I cant say they were very friendly.

thats true, i only stay in the small places and keep out of the cities, was going to buy there in my other life, but that was then, my daughter has a great place over there, just 7 houses in the village , just a nice place

Me too Steve:xxgrinning--00xx3: It's a great country, beautiful scenery, fantastic food and wine. I don't know why people say the French are ignorant, they have always been very pleasant to me...but perhaps it's because I make the effort and bother to speak to them in French, which seems fair enough to me seeing as I'm in their country.......How annoyed would we be if a French person came to Britain and started talking to us in their language

My mate has a house there in a small village he keeps a low profile though and does,nt mix much. He seems to like it.

I need to brush up a bit on my French, this time next week I'll be at CDG for a 3 hour transit en route to Saigon, and I'll try to chat to the Air France stewardesses in Francais
